BAHAWALPUR: Multan Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) have arrested three members of a gang allegedly involved in the theft of insulin vials worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from different hospitals and selling the same in the market. According the ACE, the suspects, Farhan and Zeeshan of the Nishtar Hospital and Muhammad Ali of the Children’s Hospital, Multan, have been arrested, while a large number of insulin vials were recovered during raids on their secret godowns, besides other medicines stolen from hospitals and cash. Earlier, the Multan police had recovered insulin vials worth over Rs25 million and arrested health department employees, including former CEO of health. An inquiry into the case was going on on chief minister’s order.
