LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has removed a judicial officer from service for inefficiency and misconduct and imposed penalties on two others under the same charges. Civil Judge Shazia Parveen, at present posted as OSD, was proceeded under the Punjab Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 1999. The authority found her guilty of the charges and imposed a major penalty of removal from service. A major penalty of reduction in pay scale by four stages for a period of three years has been imposed on Civil Judge Shahbaz Hassan, presently posted in Sheikhupura. Additional District & Sessions Judge Abdullah Usman has been awarded a minor penalty of “censure.” All the judicial officers have been given an opportunity of personal hearing during the inquiry proceedings against them, said a notification issued by LHC Registrar Abher Gul Khan.
