Girl raped on pretext of employment

BAHAWALPUR: A girl was allegedly gang-raped for several days at different locations on the pretext of providing her job. Reports said seven suspects ‘A’ , ‘Af’, ‘S’ and others of Burewala allegedly lured ‘K’, daughter of a brick kiln labourer, into providing her employment and took her to a house in Mujahid colony, Burewala, where two of them gang-raped her for many days. Later, the suspects took her to Dera Ghazi Khan and continued to abuse her. After 25 days, the girl managed to move away and reached her house and reported the matter to police. Gaggo police have registered a case against seven suspects and are conducting raids for arrests. BUS TRAGEDY: Seven women were killed, and five others were injured in the bus tragedy that occurred on Monday near Fateh Jang. The victims belonged to Bahawalpur and surrounding areas. The deceased were brought back to their respective hometowns for burial, while the injured received medical treatment. The Faisal Movers’ bus had departed from Bahawalpur for Islamabad on Sunday night. Among those who lost their lives were Muhammad Bashir, Fiza Imtiaz, Syed Iqra Fatima, a former student of Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB), Meharnun Nisa from Ahmedpur East, Obaidur Rehman and his wife Nazia Obaid from Vehari The injured included coach hostess Komal Iqbal, RashidacHaseeb Hashmi, son of Majid Hashmi, a local newspaper editor from Bahawalpur, Hina Ghafoor and Syed Ali Abbas from Bahawalpur, Adnan from Vehari. ARRESTED: The Federal Investigation Agency, Multan, claims to have arrested one Shahida Pirzada alias Shabki for her recruitment as a make-up artist on the basis of her fake certificates in PTV. According to FIA officials, on a tip-off, they took Shahida into custody and further investigation against her was in progress.
