THATTA: A fisherman drowned, one was rescued and two of their colleagues went missing after their boat capsized due to rough waters in Arabian Sea near Roro, Shah Bunder, early on Wednesday morning. The body of the fisherman, Anees Parheri, was recovered by local fishermen while his brother Mushtaq Parheri, was rescued in an unconscious state and immediately transferred to Baghan hospital for treatment. Search continues for the remaining two fishermen, Majeed Khaskheli and Manzoor Khaskheli, who were feared to have drowned. Fishermen from nearby villages rushed to the accident site to assist in ongoing search efforts for the bodies. He directed local administration to step up efforts to ensure the missing fishermen were located before nightfall. The incident has left the fishing community in mourning and highlighted urgent need for enhanced safety measures for local fishermen operating in the area.
