Hospital’s chief executive and the medical college’s principal Prof Shamsur Rehman and other officials were also present on the occasion. “To improve patient care and the operational capacity of the hospital, the government would support its administration in purchasing modern equipment and ensuring smooth electric supply to the health facility,” he said. The chief secretary was informed that the hospital urgently needed an MRI machine as the existing one had gone out of order, and also an additional CT scan. Additionally, he also provided an update on the performance of the Nigar College of Nursing, which also operates on the premises of the hospital, emphasising its role in addressing the shortage of nursing staff.
