BATTAGRAM: Cricket tournament super league season 4 with slogan ‘Nashy Sa Inkar Zindagi Sa Pyar’ kicked off here in Kuza Banda area the other day. Opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Asif Ali Khan, district officials, notable of the area and others. Tournament committee chairman Said Mohammad told the participants that organising such tournament in the district was need of the hour, adding it was necessary for the youth to keep them busy with healthy activities. He said that their sole purpose of organising this tournament was to provide disciplined sports activity to the youth and highlight negative impacts of the consumption of drugs on families and society. Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner said, the sports activities were much needed for the youth to mobilise and put their energies in positive activities. He said that consumption of drugs was alarmingly on increase in teenagers. The DC assured the participants that he would make all-out efforts to secure funds for the construction of a playground in the area.
