SAHIWAL: A young boy was allegedly poisoned by his father’s rivals at village 8/11-L, Chichawatni tehsil, as part of a long-standing dispute. The Ghaziabad police registered a murder case against Shahzad and three unidentified men under sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the complaint of the victim’s father, Falik Sher. Reports said, Falik Sher, a resident of village 132/9-L and a contractor by profession, had an ongoing conflict with Shahzad over business matters. Panchayat decisions had repeatedly found Shahzad at fault, which led to his public disgrace. Seeking revenge, Shahzad allegedly kidnapped Falik Sher’s 18-year-old son, Zain Ali, on the night of Sept 30. Falik Sher stated that Shahzad, along with three unknown accomplices, forcibly administered pesticide to Zain. After administering the poison, the attackers abandoned Zain and fled the scene. Zain was later found unconscious by local villagers, who rushed him to the Chichawatni THQ Hospital. However, as his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Sahiwal Teaching Hospital, where he died on Tuesday. The police are investigating the case and searching for Shahzad and his accomplices.
