LAHORE: The Factory Area police on Sunday arrested the principal of a private school for allegedly assaulting a class 9 student. A case was registered against the suspect, identified as Rana Israr, who is also the owner of the school on Ghazi Road. According to the FIR filed by the complainant, Raheel Anwar, Israr allegedly tortured his son, Tabeel, using sharp-edged weapons. Anwar stated that his son suffered multiple bruises on his backbone, private parts, arms, and legs. The complainant further alleged that Tabeel’s condition became critical due to deep wounds and excessive bleeding. He demanded the cancellation of the school’s license and called for exemplary criminal proceedings against the principal. Following the complaint, police shifted the injured boy to the hospital, arrested the suspect, and took him into custody, according to Factory Area police.
