Police arrest two men for killing their father

DADU: Police on Saturday claim arresting two brothers who had allegedly killed their elderly father over some domestic dispute. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Khairpur Nathan Shah police station 10 days ago. A spokesman for Dadu district police said that SSP Amir Saud Magsi took notice of the brutal murder and directed police to go after the killers of elderly victim, Gulzar Ahmed Babbar. He said that an FIR (No.229/2024) was registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code, based on the complaint filed by the victim’s brother and then police promptly launched investigation into the murder. He said that the SHO of K.N. Shah police station, Ghulam Haider Chandio, led the operation, and succeeded in arresting the suspects, Gulbahar and Abdul Ghaffar Babbar. The suspects had confessed to the crime during interrogation, he said.
