DADU: A 10-year-old girl was admitted to the Syed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical and Health Sciences, Sehwan, on Saturday after she was allegedly subjected to gang rape. Sehwan DSP Ahmed Bux Rahujo told Dawn that three suspects were booked and two of them arrested. A hunt was on for the main suspect, he said, adding that a woman who allegedly facilitated the gang rape was also arrested. The victim’s father told the police that the woman took his 10-year-old daughter to the guest room of the main suspect, an influential figure of the area, on some pretext. He [the main suspect], along with his two friends subjected her to gang rape, the complainant said and named all the suspects. The preliminary medical examination of the girl confirmed sexual assault. The doctors who attended the girl said that her condition was serious and they were trying hard to save her life. They said a final report of the medical examinations would be issued later.
