MUZAFFARGARH: Following a roof collapse incident in a private school in Wasandewali area on Thursday, the deputy commissioner has surrendered the services of Education CEO Tariq Habib and asked him to report to the education secretary. A case has been registered against school owner Saif Ali under section 322, 288 and 337H by the Rohillanwali police station. The collapse left a student dead and six injured. The owner had started the construction of a room on the upper floor without seeking permission. The ceiling of the old classroom could not bear the weight and collapsed. The suspects have dodged arrest despite two cases registered against them, including attempted murder and firing, at the Khangarh police station. They continue to spread fear by sharing images of themselves with weapons. When contacted, the district police officer said a police team has been ordered to arrest the suspects soon.
