Jirga settles old Bhutto-Khuhro feud

LARKANA: A jirga on Wednesday settled a 12-year-old dispute over ownership of 3,200 acres of land between Bhuttos and Khuhros, which had claimed 24 lives on both sides. Sardar Amir Bakhsh Bhutto and Asad Khuhro chaired the jirga at at Mirpur Bhutto village. During the negotiations, a total fine of Rs77,000,000 was imposed on both sides. Both sides paid Rs500,000 to each other on the spot after agreeing to the decision and vowed to pay the rest of the fine amount in four months in two installments.
