LAHORE: A female student of the Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, Multan, was killed when a `speeding’ varsity bus hit her bike inside the campus on Monday. Manahil, 21, a 5th semester student of biochemistry, met the accident when she entered the campus. She died on the spot.Shah Shams SHO Rao Mehtab told media the girl’s motorcycle hit the bus and fell down. The bus then ran over her. He said deceased’s father Shaban did not want to lodge a complaint with the police. MNSUA VC Ishtiaq Rajwana told Dawn the CCTV footage showed that the girl tried to turn left but could not do so and rammed into the bus. He said an experienced driver was driving the bus and “it was the fate of the girl that she came under it.”
