An Arizona state judge has ruled that nine polling locations in Apache County must stay open until 9pm local time after voting machine and printer issues at numerous locations earlier in the day, . The extended voting hours may mean voters have to fill out provisional ballots, according to Judge Michael Latham, who issued the ruling. According to an audio of the Tuesday night hearing obtained by , Latham said votes “need to be treated as a provisional ballot” and “be sequestered”. The Navajo Nation Human Rights Commission filed a complaint in state court to keep polls there open two more hours, the commission’s executive director Leonard Gorman told earlier. This comes after multiple polling locations reported voting machines and printers failing earlier that day.
