MANSEHAR: A boy drowned in Siren River here on Saturday, rescue officials said. They said that Sharyar Niazi along with a friend was bathing in Siren River in Barkund area when the incident occurred. Rescue 1122 divers along with local volunteers pulled both of them from the river in unconscious condition and shifted them to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, where doctors pronounced Mr Niazi dead. The body was later handed over to the family members after doctors completed the medico-legal formalities. Meanwhile, Mohammad Waheed, who was critically injured in a car-wagon collision the other day, succumbed to his injuries in Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad. The deceased was shifted to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital following the accident in Jano Mandi area. Later, doctors referred him to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital.
