Robbers shoot, critically injure two men

KARACHI: Two men were shot at and wounded by robbers in Shah Latif Town late on Wednesday evening, police said. They said that armed men entered a conveyance store in Sector 17, where a security guard, identified as Amjad Yaqoob, 50, challenged them. The robbers opened fire, snatched the guard’s gun and fled. Yaqoob and another person, Mushtaq Rehman, 55, suffered bullet wounds and were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment. Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed said their condition was ‘critical’ as both persons suffered multiple bullet wounds.
