Amnesty Australia has recognised Palestinian journalists with its Human Rights Defender Awards, according to . The group dedicated honours to Bisan Owda, Plestia Alaqad, Anas al-Sharif and all journalists in Gaza. Journalist Ahmed Shihab-Eldin was also honoured individually for his work.
