KARACHI: To provide cheaper bread to people the Government is accelerating the pace of setting up “Nan” manufacturing plants in the country. Eight plants — four in Karachi and four in Lahore — will be set up in phases. The Government has allocated a sum of Rs 1.25 crore for the project during the current financial year. The cost of a nan weighing two chattaks will range between 12 and 15 paisa, it is learnt.
