RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has extended its jurisdiction to Murree under the directives of the chief minister to expand its reach to 12 additional districts. A notification has been issued to operationalise the Murree office following the earlier establishment of the offices in Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura and Kasur. Additional Commissioner Marzia Saleem has been appointed to oversee the Murree office whereas efforts are underway to bring unregistered Punjab sales tax on services (PSTS) into the tax net. The PRA is actively pursuing a strategic plan to increase revenue resources and establish offices in more districts. These new offices are expected to facilitate taxpayers and contribute significantly to revenue growth. Plans are also in place to open offices in Attock and Jhelum in the near future.
