KARACHI: Visitors accompanying passengers to Karachi airport will now be required to carry a copy of the airline ticket and computerised national identity cards (CNICs) amid security concerns, multiple news outlets reported on Tuesday. According to , the recent security protocols are being introduced following a on Chinese nationals near Karachi airport, which was facilitated from inside the airport. The regulations mandate that anyone showing up at the airport to receive or see off passengers must present a copy of the traveller’s ticket at security checkpoints, said while quoting unnamed sources. Entry will be denied without a ticket copy. Under the new directives, airport entry will be granted to a maximum of four individuals accompanying each passenger.
