KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon inaugurated the command and control centre to monitor all operations of the Peoples Bus Service (PBS). The centre has been established at the office of the Sindh Mass Transit Authority in Clifton and it will monitor, facilitate and track the operations related to the PBS. Talking to reporters at the inauguration, Mr Memon said the system would monitor the convenience of the PBS passengers and their live videos besides the conduct of the staff. “Passengers can lodge a complaint if the fare is charged excessively or if any item gets stolen or missing.” In reply to a question about the planned protest of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in Islamabad on Nov 24, he said the party wanted anarchy and lawlessness in the country. In reply to a question regarding the ban on VPN, he said: “We want our country to progress and the youth to be on the right path. Everything has its good and bad uses. Unfortunately, those who use it negatively have also turned good things into bad.” The minister said PTI activists had started “digital terrorism on social media at the behest of their leader and they are making things like VPN controversial”. Meanwhile, Mr Memon called on PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari at the Bilawal House. He briefed the PPP chairman about the information department and said that it was highlighting the continuity of public service in Sindh.
