KHUZDAR: A tribal elder was shot dead by unidentified armed men in the Wadh area of Khuzdar district on Monday. Levies officials said that Haji Noor Ahmed, an elder of Shahzai clan of Mengal tribe, was going to a bazaar when the armed men on motorcycles opened fire, killing him on the spot near Tak area of Wadh town. Soon after the incident, Levies officials rushed to the area and took his body to a nearby government health facility where doctors confirmed his death. The body of the deceased was handed over to his family members after completing legal formalities. The cause of killing was not known. Meanwhile, a tortured body was spotted in the Nayabad Reg area of Gwadar, on Monday. Officials said police shifted the body to district hospital where she was identified as Seema, belonging to the Jhao area of district Awaran. Police said she was a drug addict. According to doctors, the woman was strangled to death. Torture marks were visible on her body, they said.
