BNP-Mengal leader shot dead in Khuzdar

KHUZDAR: A leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) was shot dead by armed men here on Monday. Police said the incident took place in the Firozabad area of Khuzdar town when the armed men on motorcycles opened fire on BNP-Mengal leader Mir Khair Muhammad Mardwi. He suffered multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. Soon after the incident, police reached the area and shifted the body to Khuzdar district hospital. The reason for the killing was not known. Police have registered a case and further investigation is under way.
