Seventeen people have been taken to nearby Jordan for “specialised medical treatment”, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said in a post on X, reports. “Six of the patients require cancer treatment and 11 need treatment for war injuries,” he said, adding that they were evacuated with companions. Tedros called for more medical evacuations from Gaza, saying thousands of patients are still waiting for “specialist health care”.
