PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said here on Saturday that all the minorities in the country enjoyed equal rights and the Constitution guaranteed their protection and religious freedom. He said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was the only party, which gave rights to all minorities living in the country. During a Christmas cake cutting ceremony at Governor’s House, he said that minorities’ role was important in national development, according to an official statement. It said that members of Christian community and other minorities including men, women and children from across the province attended the ceremony. The governor said that services of Christian community in education, health and other sectors were commendable. He added that Christian community always promoted peace and love in the country. He said that Edwardes College was a valuable asset, which would be restored to its old form. He said that Governor’s House remained open for one day after every 10 days and there was no restriction on anyone to visit it.
