RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Aamir Khattak directed the deputy commissioners to visit tehsildar and registrar offices to review their administrative affairs. He said applications received in these offices should be monitored as to how long they remain pending. He said after three days he will send an officer from the commissioner’s office with a special task to inspect these offices. Until then, all the arrangements and public dealing should be improved. Chairing a meeting, he directed that none of the public complaints filed in these offices should take more than three days to be processed and similarly court cases should be disposed of within three hearings and not more than one month. RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza, Director Local Government Sabatin Kazmi and heads of other allied departments attended the meeting in person whereas the deputy commissioners of Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal and Murree participated through video link in the review meeting of the Divisional Coordination Committee held here. The commissioner said that the DCs should pay special attention to the KPIs determined by the chief minister and chief secretary Punjab. He said that the anti-encroachment operation was a continuous process because due to interruptions in it those involved in temporary encroachments get a chance to come back. Therefore, continuity in this operation must be ensured. He also directed to keep all arrangements complete with regard to Suthra Punjab. With its inauguration by the chief minister, it should be launched vigorously to make the entire division zero waste.
