SUKKUR: Two men riding a motorcycle were shot dead by unknown assailants in the Keti Zaman Shah Rashidi area of Khairpur district on Thursday. Officials at the Abdur Rehman Unnar police station said that the victims, Dilshad Narejo and Ghulam Nabi Shaikh, were attacked ostensibly by gangsters who fled into the nearby riverine area after committing the crime. A police team visited the site to collect evidence and reach a conclusion regarding a possible motive behind the attack. An investigation into the incident from different angles was under way, they said. A man, Shehzado Banglani, was shot dead at Fazal Ilahi Larro (turning) within the limits of the B-Section police station of Jacobabad on Thursday. The bereaved family told the media and police that Shehzado was receiving threats from Machcho Banglani gang for some time. They said the gang was demanding a handsome amount as ‘protection money’ which was impossible for the family to arrange.
