LAHORE: Pakistan opener Saim Ayub will fly to London “for immediate treatment” after fracturing his ankle in the ongoing second Test against South Africa, the country’s cricket board announced on Sunday. The decision was made after consulting the doctors, the PCB said in a statement, while adding that the player was earlier asked to travel back to the country. Saim Ayub was ruled out of competitive cricket for up to six weeks after after twisting his right ankle while fielding at the deep third man in the seventh over of the opening day of the Test match in Cape Town on Friday. The PCB had said that an MRI was conducted on Friday afternoon confirmed the fracture, which has been immobilised in an Ankle Medical Moon Boot.
