Worker killed as gas welding cylinder explodes in shop

SUKKUR: A gas welding cylinder exploded in a shop leaving one worker dead and two others injured at Khairpur’s main bus terminal on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Adeel Bugti, 15, and the inured as Salman Katohar and Akbar Katohar. All the three victims suffered severe burns on different parts of their bodies and were rushed to the Khairpur Civil Hospital for treatment. However, Adeel had already succumbed to his burns. The other victims were admitted for treatment. A teenage boy, Salaar Malghani, 15, suffered a fatal bullet wound while he was making a TikTok video holding a pistol in his hand in Chakar Malghani village of Garhi Khero taluka in Jacobabad district on Thursday. Residents of the neighbourhood and officials at the Tajo Dero police station said that the pistol accidentally went off while he was busy doing his job. A bullet pierced through his body prompting his relatives to rush him to the Jacobabad Civil Hospital but he died on the way, they said. Two women, Ms Nawab and Ayaz Khatoon, were shot dead by their close relatives for keeping mobile phones and using the same near their home in Sultan Kamalani village of Rustam taluka in Shikarpur district on Thursday. Their relatives suspected that they were engaged in extramarital affair, locals suggested, but the area police expressed their unawareness about the matter.
