Cases against Bushra under Telegraph Act

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Three cases have been registered against Bushra Bibi (wife of PTI leader Imran Khan) at different police stations of Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur and Layyah for her remarks against the Saudi leadership. In Dera Ghazi Khan, the case was registered by the Darkhawst Jamal Khan police station under Section 29 of the Telegraph Act 1885 on the complaint of a citizen, Ghulam Yasin. According to the FIR, the complainant said he heard Bushra’s s statement on TV which was meant to spoil relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He said the statement was a well-planned conspiracy and hence a strong action should be taken against her under the relevant law. Similarly, a case was registered against Bushra at a Rajanpur police station on the complaint of Hakim Khan on identical charges. Third case was registered by the Layyah city police station on the complaint of Ashfaq Sohail who sought action against Bushra under the Telegraph Act.
