Ms Butt also met with the family family of the victim and assured them that justice would be done. The doctors told Dawn that hopefully the victim would be shifted to the medical ward from the ICU within two to three days. As per police, the suspect committed the brutal act in revenge after the victim’s parents rejected his marriage proposal. Meanwhile, in another case, a judicial magistrate gave two-day physical remand of two rape suspects- Akram and Salik, to the Civil Lines police. The suspects are being interrogated for alleged rape of a female security guard at a public sector university, that denies the rape incident.
