Pesco removes illegal connections in Dera

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) team removed here the other day 11 illegal connections during operation against power theft in different areas. A Pesco team led by SDO Engr Naeemuddin conducted operation against power theft at CRBC road, workshop colony, Mandhraan Syedaan, Bannu road, Diyal road, and Hanifabad and Shorkot areas. The team removed 11 illegal connections and got registered FIRs against the culprits in police stations concerned. The Pesco administrators advised customers to make sure they pay their bills on time each month in order to ensure a seamless power supply and declared that their crackdown on power theft would continue indiscriminately. TWO KILLED IN ACCIDENT A road accident in Tank’s Khargi area claimed the lives of two people here the other day. According to a police spokesman, a motorbike was struck by a pick-up van. As a result two young men riding the motorcycle died on the spot. The bodies were moved to Jandola hospital by the locals. The deceased were identified as Bilal son of Mehrban and Arshad son of Arif. The police has begun further investigation.
