Cash, valuable looted in different strikes in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Different gangs of criminals looted cash and valuables, including automobiles during separate strikes at house, shops and streets, police said on Thursday. In the first incident, a gang of dacoit looted cash and valuables from a house of Azmat Ali, located in the area of Koral, they said, adding that five persons armed with weapons raided the house and held up the residents at gunpoint. Later, they looted Rs25,000 cash, three mobile phones and a laptop and escaped, the police added. In another incident, a gang of three robbers looted Rs50,000cash and a mobile phone from a clinic of Zahid Shah, located in the area of Jhangi Syedan, the police said. Similarly, another robbers’ gang looted cash and a mobile phone for a medical store of Mohammad Ashfaq , located in the same area of Jhangi Syedan, they said, adding that two robbers raided the store and held up the shopkeepers at gunpoint and looted Rs20,000 and a mobile phone from a customer and escaped. Moreover, a gang of culprits wearing police uniform looted cash in the area of Snagjani, the police said, adding that two riders of a Honda car made and attempt to intercept Sohail Ahmed and his driver when he was returning from Taxila, however, the driver sped away the Suzuki.
