KARACHI: The KC Jinko Solar National Juniors and Seniors Tennis Championship continues to exhibit top-tier talent at the Karachi Club, with both juniors and seniors making notable strides on the second and third days of the event. In the juniors Under-18 singles first round on Sunday, Aisam Malik triumphed over Nibras Malik 6-2, 5-7, 10-4. Ruhab Faisal displayed a dominant performance against Arham Shahzad, while Kashan Tariq defeated Hasan Jamal. Ehsan Ali outplayed Shayan Saeed 6-2, 6-4 and Hazik Areejo edged past Rayan Ahmed 7-5, 6-4. The Boys Under 14 Singles first main round saw Muzammil Bhand, Ehsaan Ali, Zayd Zaman, Ansarullah, Fahad, Yahya Bin Zain, Junaid Meher, Aahil Imran, Abdul Baseer, Rohan Das and Mustafa Chottani won their respective matches. Their were lop sided matches in the Under-12 boys singles second round as Zayd and Mohammad Ayan advanced without dropping a single point. Similarly in the girls’ U-12 first round, Zoha Imaad triumphed with the same scoreline. The 35-plus Doubles first round had Shamael Tajamul and Ahmed Iqbal emerging victorious. On Saturday, Eschelle Asif, Noor Hilalay and Dalia Shazim registered dominant victories in the girls’ Under-18 first round fixtures. Inaara Akram had a comparitavely tougher outing against Zeenia Jafferani but she powered through 8-6 while Sabrina Khan advanced after Aiman Asim Haris withdrew. In the men’s singles first round, Vinod Das, Saad Saleem and Farhan Altaf all won their ties with a flawless 8-0 scoreline. Kashan Tariq, Taimoor Ansari and Parbat Kumar also won their matches. Mujtaba Kalwar, Ashar Bhaila, Qazi Ahyan, Aidh Imran and M. Omer won in the boys’ U-12 first-round while Ali Zamin and Azan Imran cruised to the next round in the U-10 category.
