Missing woman’s case resolved

TOBA TEK SINGH: Police claimed to have resolved the case of a missing unmarried, middle-aged grocery store owner woman of Khanewal’s Chak 12/AH. It has been revealed that she was allegedly gang-raped and killed by three men at Khanewal who had been arrested. According to the first information report registered under Section 365-B of the Pakistan Penal Code by the Makhdoompur police, Muhammad Shabbir, a resident of Chak 12/AH, reported that his sister, Muneeran Bibi, 35, a grocery shopkeeper, had gone to Khanewal on Dec 23 to purchase supplies for her shop but did not return home. Station House Officer Imran Shahid said the police used geofencing and modern technology to trace the suspects and recover the woman’s body. She had been gang-raped and buried in a room in the house of one of the suspects identified as Ali Shan in a locality in Khanewal. She was raped, murdered by three Sources revealed that Muneeran Bibi had business dealings with Ali Shan, who invited her to stay at his home for the night. He then called his two accomplices Rehmat Ali and Muhammad Waseem. The three men repeatedly assaulted her and later strangled her to death before burying her body in a room. The police have arrested all three suspects, and the victim’s body has been sent to Khanewal DHQ Hospital for an autopsy. A state-of-the-art global system mobile communication and GPRS technology-based advance metering infrastructure (AMI) is being introduced by Faisalabad Electric Supply Company in its region. Fesco spokesperson Muhammad Saeed Raza said on Wednesday that error-free meter reading would be made through new system and not only overbilling will be ended but respective officials of Fesco would get prompt information in case a meter become faulty while meter reading will be made online. He said primarily 100,000 meters of AMI technology approved by PTA are being purchased for which tenders have been issued. A Fesco’s assistant lineman was electrocuted at Gojra on Wednesday. Reports said Muhammad Qasim posted at Nawan Lahore subdivision was repairing electricity wires of a house at Chak 345-JB when his hand suddenly touched a live wire as a result he received a shock and became unconscious. He was rushed to Nawan Lahore rural health centre where he expired.
