Couple booked for torturing minor girl

TOBA TEK SINGH: Police have registered a case against a couple on Thursday for allegedly subjecting a minor girl employed as home help to physical torture at their Eden Executive Garden house on the Canal Road, Faisalabad. Complainant Allah Ditta, a resident of Chak 215-RB, stated in the FIR registered under sections 328-A and 34 of PPC by Madina Town police that his daughter Eiman Fatima (8) was employed at Sheikh Jawad’s house against Rs2,000 per month salary for the last one month. He said a few days ago, he tried to meet his daughter, but the suspects, Sheikh Jawad and his wife Bisma, refused to allow him to see her. He said that on his insistence the couple finally allowed him to take his daughter home, who told him that the couple would torture her over minor faults. He said when his wife Shagufta Bibi examined the girl’s body, she found a number of torture marks. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case against the suspects and claimed that raids were being conducted to arrest them, who have fled away, locking their house. TRAIN STOP: The Pakistan Railways has allowed a two-minute stoppage of 47-Up, 48 Down Rehman Baba Express train at Makhdoompur railway station in Khanewal district. As per a notification issued by PR chief operating superintendent, the stoppage of Rehman Baba Express, that runs between Peshawar and Karachi, has been allowed for a month.
