Prince Harry reportedly angered James Corden with a tipsy remark, prompting David Beckham to step in, according to reports. The Duke of Sussex, now 40, has been friends with TV host James Corden for about a decade. However, their friendship, often described as a "royal bromance," reportedly had a rocky start. In 2011, Harry attended a "pre-Christmas boys' night out" at the Arts Club in Mayfair, as reported by the Daily Mail. He was accompanied by A-list friends, including former footballer David Beckham and producer Ben Winston. Upon arriving, a tipsy Harry allegedly made a joke about Corden's appearance, which left the Gavin and Stacey star "absolutely furious." While the specific comment was not disclosed, the incident reportedly required Beckham to mediate and diffuse the tension. A source said: "The group was pretty large. There were some of Harry's friends, some of James' friends and some of David's gang and they all intertwined. "Then it all kicked off, James was furious. It quickly emerged that Harry had told a joke and James definitely did not find it funny." David Beckham, 49, stepped in as a peacemaker, mediating between the two and reassuring James Corden that no harm was intended by Harry's comment. The pair eventually reconciled and have maintained a close friendship ever since. Corden was among the many celebrities who attended Harry’s extravagant wedding to Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle in 2018. Years later, Prince Harry made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden after stepping down as a senior royal and relocating to Los Angeles.
