In the opening-round matches of the men’s singles event, Ahmed Nael defeated Abdullah Adnan 6-3, 6-4. In other matches of the same category, Barkatullah outclassed Shehryar Anees 6-2, 6-2; Yousuf Khalil outplayed Ahtesham Humayun 6-1, 6-4; Mohammad Shoaib registered a downed Shahzad Khan 6-3, 6-3; Aqeel Khan struggled to beat Bilal Asim 6-1, 3-6, 6-1; Mohammad Abid ousted Ahmed Chaudhry 6-2, 6-3; Abubakar Talha brushed aside Haider Ali Rizwan 6-1, 6-3 while Muzammil Murtaza overpowered Uzair Khan 6-2, 6-1.
