Iesco Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Naeem Jan revealed that over 71,000 electricity metres were inspected and 15 of them were found tampered. He said 138 FIRs were registered while 28 alleged power pilferers were arrested by the police. He said various Iesco teams conducted operations against electricity thieves across all operational circles falling under the utility company’s ambit. The CEO acknowledged the support of the Ministry of Energy and the law enforcement agencies in Iesco’s efforts to curb electricity theft.
