Five wounded in group clash

SUKKUR: Five persons were wounded in a clash between a group of Khosa tribesmen and some members of the Bhangwar community in a village falling within the limits of the B-Section police station of Kandhkot on Sunday. Reports from the area suggested that all the victims belonged to the Bhangwar community. They were shifted to the Kandhkot Civil Hospital. The hospital administration and police identified them as Zahid Hussain, Ghalib Hussain, Riyasat Ali, Naseer and Juma. Sources said that two of the victims were referred to the Sukkur Civil Hospital due to their critical condition. A man and his son were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a tractor-driven trolley near a sugar mills along the National Highway within the limits of Ubauro town of Ghotki district on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Babar Khan Pathan and his son Shahbaz Pathan. The Ubauro police shifted the bodies to the Taluka Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The tractor driver managed to escape from the scene, police said. The victims hailed from Sadiqabad (Punjab). In another accident, a man, identified as Abdul Wahab Ogahi, was killed when the car he was driving was hit by a long vehicle on the bypass near New Vegetable Market of Kandhkot. The A-Section police arrested the trailer-driver and impounded his vehicle.
