LAHORE: A man allegedly ended his own life soon after he shot at and injured his wife and her two relatives in Ichhra area here on Wednesday. The body of the deceased, identified as Adnan (40), was shifted by police to the city morgue for a postmortem examination. A police official said the incident took place at Mohammad Ali Road where Adnan’s wife was living with her parents after developing differences with her husband. He said that according to some members of both families, Adnan had developed relations with his sister-in-law, which annoyed his wife. On Wednesday, Adnan visited the house of his in-laws to bring his wife back, but she refused to go with him, ensuing a heated argument between the two sides. During exchange of words, Adnan opened fire, leaving his wife, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law injured. The police official said the suspect later shot himself and died on the spot.
