LOWER DIR: Two persons were killed after two groups clashed over a property ownership issue in Toormang Khadang area in the jurisdiction of Khall police station on Friday. Residents said that Saeedullah, 25, and Shah Zamin, 22, were the two victims. Rehana, ten, was recognised as the injured girl. According to them, the opposing factions engaged in a shooting exchange for a while. According to Rescue 1122, the dead bodies and the injured girl were shifted to rural health centre Khall. JI TO STAGE PROTEST: Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) leader Inayatullah Khan asked party workers to stage protest demonstrations in all district headquarters on coming Sunday against the killing of the JI Bajaur general secretary Mohammad Hameed Sufi, who was gunned down by unknown attackers in Bajaur the other day. Speaking at a news conference at Timergara Press Club , Mr Inayat said the government was responsible for the brutal murder of the JI’s local leader. JI district chief and former MNA Maulana Asadullah, district general secretary Hafiz Yaqubur Rehman, former tehsil nazims Imranud Din and Malik Sher Bahadar were also present. Mr Inayatullah alleged that terrorists were killed in Mianwali and Lakki Marwat while attempting to enter Punjab, yet they were roaming freely in the border areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, raising serious concerns. “We have been enduring lawlessness for the past 25 years,” he said, adding that investors were hesitant to continue their businesses in the region. According to the leader of JI, the government collected taxes from the populace in exchange for protecting their lives and property. He claimed the government had not lived up to its obligations.
