PHDL winds up operations

KARACHI: Pakistan Hotels Developers Ltd (PHDL), a listed company on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), has closed its operations. On Wednesday, the company informed the PSX that the decision had been made at an Extraordinary General Body Meeting held on Tuesday. The notice said the shareholders had approved the company’s voluntary winding up. PHDL was incorporated as a private limited company in 1979 as Taj Mahal Hotels Ltd. It was converted into a public limited company in 1981.
