LAHORE: Punjab witnessed a significant increase in the number of dengue cases as 79 more people tested positive for the virus during the last 24 hours across the province, taking the total number of patients to 1,631 since Jan 1. Last week 587 dengue cases were reported from all over the province. The number was said to be many times higher than those officially confirmed during previous weeks so far.
