LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in a case of violence near Lahore-Sialkot motorway. The investigating officer of Manawan police station requested the court to issue non-bailable warrants for CM Gandapur, saying the PTI leader had gone into hiding out of fear of arrest. He said the suspect did not appear before the court despite issuance of bailable warrants. ATC-I Manzer Ali Gill allowed the police request and issued non-bailable warrants of KP CM Gandapur. The FIR alleged that Gandapur smashed a vehicle’s windows while travelling to a Lahore rally with a convoy to attend party’s rally in Kahna on Sept 21. Gandapur allegedly broke a truck’s windows with the butt of a Kalashnikov in a fit of anger. A video also captured the KP CM angrily smashing the truck’s windows, which appeared to be blocking the road with a container.
