Three killed over old enmity in Swabi

SWABI: Three people, including a passerby, were killed in a firing incident in Palosai village of Razaar tehsil here on Tuesday, rescuers and police said. They said three people got injuries when rivals allegedly opened fire on them. The injured, including Noor Rehman, Sher Zamin and Ubaidullah, were shifted to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital, Razaar. However, doctors pronounced Rehman and Zamin, a passerby, dead. The injured Ubiadullah, who was owner of a wheat grinding machine, was referred to Bacha Khan Teaching Hospital, Shahmansoor, where he too succumbed to his injuries. Rehman’s wife reported to the Paramuli police that her husband had taken wheat grain to a grinding machine for making flour when accused, Arshad Khan, Mirjawal Khan and Sabir Khan, started firing on him. As a result, she said her husband, a passerby, Zamin, and Ubaidullah died. The police registered an FIR and started investigation. They said the motive behind the attack was stated to be an old enmity between Rehman and the attackers. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man drowned in Pehur Canal here on Tuesday. Luqman Khan, an official of Rescue 1122, said a divers’ team recovered the body and handed it over to police, who later called the family to collect it for burial. The deceased was identified as Rahimzada, hailing from Buner district.
