SWAT: Swat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has announced to organise a three-day trade show from December 27 to boost commerce for local and international businesses while showcasing the region’s products to a global audience. The announcement was made during a meeting held here on Tuesday chaired by chamber’s senior vice-president Mohammad Khurshid Iqbal. The participants included chamber’s vice-president Khalid Khan, former presidents Rahat Ali Khan, Yousaf Ali Khan and Ali Mohammad Khan, TDAP director trade Noman Bashir and deputy director Zahid Mohammad. The meeting decided that the event would feature stalls representing a wide array of products from the Malakand division as well as other regional and international companies. “The stalls will provide an opportunity for businesses to connect, collaborate and showcase their offerings to a diverse audience. The rules and regulations for setting up stalls can be accessed on the official website of the Swat chamber,” officials said. Prominent government officials, including the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor and other dignitaries, will be invited as chief guests to inaugurate and attend the event, lending further significance to the occasion, they said. “The trade show is expected to draw attention to Swat’s unique cultural and industrial contributions, fostering opportunities for growth and networking across various sectors.” The officials said initiative aligned with the region’s broader vision of promoting economic growth, empowering local businesses and attracting international investments. They said the trade show promised to be an exceptional event, offering a dynamic platform to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, local heritage and global innovation, and fostering an exchange of ideas that could lead to lasting partnerships and business opportunities.
