LAKKI MARWAT: A three-day Tableeghi Jamaat congregation began near Paharkhel Thal along the Manjiwala Road here on Friday. Tens of thousands of people from southern districts and other parts of the province arrived at the venue to attend the religious gathering. The congregation has generated big economic activity in the area as traders have set up food stalls and makeshift outlets by displaying numerous items. The local Tableeghi Markaz with the support of local administration has made arrangements for successful conduct of the congregation. The tehsil municipal administrations, Rescue 1122, health and local government departments and Peshawar Electric Supply Company have established camps to provide maximum facilities to the faithful. Special security arrangements have been made by the police for the safety of participants and peaceful conduct of the congregation. Policemen have been deployed on main roads and important places to ensure smooth traffic flow and guide the faithful to the spot. The Tableeghi Markaz has set up a residential facility for the participants over 840 kanals, while 1,545 kanals have been specified for parking of vehicles. The TMA has also made arrangements for provision of food on subsidised rates to over 300,000 faithful by setting up 11 canteens. YOUNG WOMAN DIES BY SUICIDE: A married young woman died by suicide inside her house in Sherikhel area here on Friday. Police said the deceased, 20, shot herself dead with a pistol inside her room. They said the reason behind the incident was not known immediately. Father of the deceased told the Shahbazkhel police he was working in the fields when his son informed him about the incident. He told the police his daughter had been married one and half years ago. He said his daughter was not killed by anyone nor he doubted anyone rather she ended life by herself.
