Pakistan trail by 2 runs on Day 2 of first Test against South Africa

CENTURION – Pakistan, in their second innings, scored 88 runs for the loss of 3 wickets after South Africa’s team scored 301 runs before being bowled out, giving the Proteas a 90-run lead over the Green Shirts. On the second day of the first Test match being played in Centurion, South Africa began their innings at 82 runs with the loss of 3 wickets. South Africa lost their first wicket of the day after adding 48 more runs, when Temba Bavuma was dismissed for 31 runs. Later, at a total score of 178, David Bedingham was out for 30 runs, and Kyle Verreynne was dismissed for 2 runs at a total of 188. South African opener Aiden Markram scored 89 runs, while Kagiso Rabada made 13 runs before being dismissed. Tristan Stubbs scored 9 runs, and Ryan Rickelton made 8 runs. Tony de Zorzi and Marco Jansen both scored 2 runs each. For Pakistan, Naseem Shah and Khurram Shehzad both took 3 wickets each, while Aamer Jamal took 2 wickets. Mohammad Abbas and Saim Ayub claimed 1 wicket each. In Pakistan’s second innings, Saim Ayub and Shan Masood started the batting, but both were dismissed after scoring 28 runs each.
