PESHAWAR: Fazal Moqeem Khan, Abdul Jalil Jan and Shehryar Khan were elected unopposed here the other day as president, senior vice-president and vice-president, respectively, of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 2024-26 term. SCCI’s election commission announced this during a meeting held at the Chamber House. Members of the election commission, including Malik Niaz Ahmad, Abdul Hakim Shinwari and Zarak Khan, were present. The commission said as no nomination papers were submitted against Mr Moqeem, Mr Jan and Mr Shehryar, they were elected unopposed. The newly-elected office-bearers will take charge of their respective offices on Oct 1. It is to be mentioned here that a 20-member executive council of SCCI has already been elected, but the seats of president, senior vice-president and vice-president were still vacant. SCCI’s Corporate Group members, who recently won the election, include Abbas Fuad Azeem, Adnan Nasir, Aftab Iqbal, Fazal Moqeem Khan, Hassan Zahideen, Ashfaq Ahmad, Junaid Altaf, Sabir Ahmad Bangash, Zaheer Sajjad and Ziaul Haq Sarhadi.
